“That is the friendliest church we’ve ever been to!”
We are honored to hear those words on a regular basis!
When you arrive at South Belt Church you’ll be met at the door. One of our greeters will offer you a good morning smile, a warm handshake, and the bulletin of the day’s activities. Someone will act as your guide, help you get a cup of coffee and find the appropriate classroom for small group bible study or the worship center.
What do you offer on Sunday morning?
On Sunday mornings, you will experience a worship service with both traditional and casual elements.
8:30 a.m. Traditional ServiceIn the traditional service we breathe new life into the great hymns of faith. This is a terrific service for anyone seeking the comforts of the past with a fresh update. |
10:00 a.m. Contemporary ServiceIn the more upbeat contemporary service we offer modern music in a casual atmosphere. This is a great service for anyone seeking truth and relevance in today’s busy world. Both services are provided the same sermon. |
We also offer small groups at 9:45 for Adults & 11:15am for both Children & Adults.
What should I wear?
Since God doesn’t have a dress code neither do we. We encourage you to come as you are comfortable. The people you see on the stage will be casually dressed, casual is fine. Many wear jeans, some do wear suits/ties; just come as you feel comfortable.
What are the Sermons Like?
Pastor Kevin usually preaches short sermon series based on issues everyday people face. His goal is to leave you with an application each Sunday that will allow you to be a better follower of Christ on Monday. Each Sunday service provides an outlined worship guide and is displayed on a video screen so you can participate in the worship experience.
What about my children?
All children and youth have separate small groups that cover relevant bible teachings. During our Sunday worship services, children five years old and older are encouraged to worship with their family.
Children Children will be introduced to someone from our quality children’s ministries or nursery staff. Our nursery practices several different levels of security to ensure your child’s safety and all of our children and youth volunteers have passed a background check. |
Teenagers Teens will be introduced to our Youth Directors or volunteers. These folks are excellent at taking the edge off your teen’s anxiety. |
Will I be singled out as a guest or expected to give offering?
No, you will not be singled out ever. The offering is an element of worship in our service for us to be able to give back to God out of what He has first given to us. We do ask that at the offering you fill out our guest card and give us the opportunity to know that you worshiped with us, but we have no expectations for you to give monetarily.
How do I Connect Further?
We offer many different ministries for Children, Youth, College/Career, and Adults to be a part of on many different levels. These ministries are in place to stand beside, encourage/grow, pray for, and hold one another accountable to the life we have been called to live — following Christ’s example.
You’ll Fit Right In!
The people of South Belt Church are friendly, and try very hard to make every person feel welcome. Our goal is to help everyday people Live Christ’s example. We are not big enough or rich enough to WOW our community with flashy gimmicks. Instead we offer genuine friendship and relationships. We believe South Belt Church is a place you can feel right at home. Come experience it for yourself – It’s not your typical church!
