Parris joined South Belt Church in September 2022 after serving as pastor of Agape Community Bible Church for 13 years.  Leading up to that, he also served in various positions at Liberty Baptist Church and Charis Chapel Bible Church, working with youth and married couples as well as preaching on occasion.  He received his Master of Theology degree from Charis Theological Seminary where he later taught as Professor of Apologetics.  

Parris is thankful for the spiritual foundation laid for him by his father.  Parris himself is the proud father of three grown children, Isaac, Daniel, and Parker.  Die-hard University of Houston football fans would recognize him from the ’97-’99 squads.  In his free time he enjoys working out, going to the ocean to journal, riding his motorcycle, and enjoying the evening air.
